Your Parents’ House Terms and Conditions

The Your Parents’ House promotion (the “Promotion”) is sponsored by The Bank of Nova Scotia (“Scotiabank” or the “Sponsor”) and administered by Midnight Circus and Rethink (together, the “Agency”).

1. Eligibility
This Promotion is open to the first 250 students (18 years of age or older) living in the Greater Toronto Area, Ontario who register at scotiabank.com/parentshouse by Sept 7, 2025 at 11:59 pm Eastern Time (“ET”). There is a limit of one (1) registration per person. Students must be enrolled in a full time post-secondary education program to be eligible.

Scotiabank will send an email notification to the students who are eligible to participate in the Promotion event (“Registrants”) on September 8, 2025. The email notification will include the address of the location of the Promotion event.

2. Event Details
To be eligible to participate in the Promotion event, Registrants must: (i) attend the Promotion event at the address specified in the email notification (the “House”) on Tuesday September 10th, 2025, between the hours of 10 am and 5 pm ET; and (ii) complete, sign and return a liability and publicity release (“Release”). If a Registrant does not complete, sign and return the Release they will be disqualified and will not be able to participate in the Promotion event. All expenses incurred by Registration to participate in the Promotion, including transportation to and from the House, is at the Registrant’s sole cost and expense. No transportation will be provided.

At the House, Registrants will be given a tote-bag by a representative of the Sponsor or Agency, which they may fill once with a selection of grocery items located within the House. Each Registrant may only fill the single tote bag provided once, and may not remove grocery items from the House by any other means (such as pockets, in hand, in other bags, etc.). Once the tote bag is full, Registrants must vacate the House to make room for the next Registrants. There will be no repeat entry into the House.  The selection of grocery items in the House is at the Sponsor’s sole discretion and will be determined at the outset of the event. The availability of grocery items is on a first-come first-serve basis. Once grocery items are removed from the House they will not be replaced. If all grocery items are removed from the House before a Registrant participates, no replacement items will be provided.

3. Conditions of Participation
By participating in this Promotion, Registrants agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions. The tote bag, gift card (where provided), and all grocery items are provided “as is” and “as available” and cannot be exchanged, refunded, replaced, exchanged, or redeemed for cash.

4. Limitation of Liability
Sponsor, Agency, and any prize supplier, and each of their respective parent and affiliated companies, agents, employees, directors, officer, successors, and assigns  are not responsible for any loss, damage, or injury resulting from a Registrant’s participation in the Promotion (including any travel to or from the House, or any injury or other loss or damage occurring in the House) or use or misuse of the tote bag, grocery items, or gift cards. A Registrant’s participation in the Promotion is at their own risk.

5. Privacy
Personal information collected will be used to administer the Promotion and otherwise in accordance with the Scotiabank Privacy Agreement available at www.scotiabank.com.

6. General Terms
This Promotion is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, and municipal laws. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or amend the Promotion and these Terms and Conditions at any time without notice, including in the event of any unforeseen circumstances or regulatory requirements. Sponsor and Agency reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to refuse or revoke a Registrant’s entry into the House and/or Participation in the Promotion at any time for any reason, including due to disruptive or destructive behaviour, or failure to comply with these Terms and Conditions. In the event of conflict, these Terms and Conditions will prevail over any promotional materials or statements, or any other communication regarding the Promotion, whether written or oral from the Sponsor or Agency, except where otherwise stated.
